The genius of his impersonations can't be transcribed, of course. The deterioration of McCain over the debates just about killed me.

I laughed so hard I howled and CRIED and my cats all came to stand over me, thinking something was really wrong, which made me laugh even harder. Finally took a breath and peace was restored.

*Sigh* Once again I'm doomed to video he**! Can't see the darn you-tube stuff on my home computer and don't have head phones for the laptop so can't listen when I am sitting at Borders working either...

Did you try it with Internet Explorer, Kathleen? It often works with videos when Firefox doesn't.

I didn't even realize that was John Cleese, but you are quite right, according to that most-up-to-date and mostly accurate source of knowledge, Wikipedia, which lists MCing this show among his credits. The same venerable source says nothing about him being wheelchair bound these days, so I think we are justified in hoping that was just a comedy riff.

And I was trying to be even sillier, in a sort of serious way. Synesthesia is kind of cool, or in any case mostly harmless, and it can't possibly account for all the nuttiness... (I detect--unprofessionally, of course--half the DSM-IV in just Leviticus...)
