Good about living in Southern California 1/1/09

One of the joys of living in Southern California is the weather. While alot of people are digging out the snow we are out in the backyard picking produce.

This has not been a good year for avocado but the lemon tree has tons.  That is the end of the squash but we have more of the green peppers almost ready and we seem to be getting a second crop of Jalapenos,  they were not ready yet so did not put any in the pics.

Yeah, something besides snow pix. It's always white. But then again, lemons are always yellow.

I have a lime tree in my kitchen, lol. I think I have "harvested" to limes in the 3 years I have had it.

Your fortunate, I would love to be able to have "garden" fresh fruits and veggies this time of year.

You sure are lucky. I would love to have fruit trees in my back yard....maybe one day. I just noticed that the first tomato plants in our Florida garden has arrived, now I just hope to see them turn red soon.

Very cool! I may be making the big move to California very soon. My father lives out there. I've lived in Oklahoma most of my life, so it'll be a big change, and I'm terrified of earthquakes, but will be soooo nice to be with my family out there!
