My Resolutions for 2009

I've already talked a bit about my resolutions in my article, Resolutions and Roadmaps, so I thought I'd share some of my resolutions for 2009.

In 2009, I resolve to:

-buy a house, even if it is little more than a shack.

-keep a regular work schedule (I haven't been keeping "office hours", much to my and my finances' detriment).

-write at least two pieces per day.

-exercise several times per week.

-pay off at least one major debt.

There is more to my list, of course. These are just five of the fourteen resolutions that I have made for the coming year.

Have you made any New Year's resolutions? If so, what are some of them? If not, why not?

I tried to keep my resolutions fairly realistic. I know how I operate, and I know what I should be able to motivate myself to do.

Wow. Everyone else is much more ambitious than I. Write two pieces a day? ;-) I guess if I count my To-Do List and grocery list, I could do that. :-)

Susan, I have to keep myself to a schedule. When I say two pieces, I am including poetry; that usually takes less time for me to write.

Wilma, most things begin with baby steps. However, some of the stuff I have on my list (such as writing two pieces every day) involves simply plunging in. I don't have the luxury of waiting.

Priscilla, I was reading an article on CNN earlier that said 60% of people polled said that they don't make resolutions.

These are great goals. We have been trying really hard to get out of debt but the mortgage is killing us.
