Sometimes I wake up and feel all refreshed, ready to start the day. But there are tough spells. Today, for example. New Year's Eve seems like more of a holiday than New Years Day and I am a little annoyed that I have to go to work. Oh well, I'll live.
I've also been more stressed about earning money online, because things are not going to look up at the day job. Thankfully, I have a day job that is neither in banking or the auto industry or at one of the failing retailers. But I do want to make more outside income in '09.
In January I will get about $11 from eHow, and most likely $25 from Gather. (I'm about 220 points away from a PayPal giftcard. I hope I can make it this weekend. Most of this will go into book marketing for No Sensible People, or other writing expenses. I want to catch up on a lot of bills and buy one of those Netbooks. I have a laptop, but I can't always carry it because me daughter needs to use it for school. My son has my old laptop, which was his graduation present. It is on his last leg. He's going into graphic arts, so he will need a Mac. (He also needs to make some money)
Anyway thinking of everything is making me crave coffee, which I usually don't think about until after 9:00. It's too late to make it at home, so I will have to hold off until I get to work. Tonight I am going to my mom's and playing Rockband a little with the kids.
Hopefully I will wake up by then.
Happy New Year everyone!

You are fortunate to have a somewhat stable "day job." I believe that I read the other day that, in the course of 2008, there were about half-a-million jobs lost in the U.S.
Whenever your son goes to buy a Mac, don't forget that he can get an education discount. it's only a few hundred dollars but it helps.
