My sister just emailed me a posting from the wire service about the controversy over what Rick Warren will pray at the Inauguration. Reading all that was said and everyone wondering who will be offended by his prayer made me think of one thing. If I were in Rick Warren's shoes, I wouldn't be concerned about people I might offend. I'd be more concerned about offending God and the Son He sacrificed for my sins and Who bought me my freedom from the depths of hell. I could care less if I offend another human being when standing up for my Lord and Savior and if Rick Warren is truly a follower of Jesus, he won't apologize for standing up for Him as well.
What concerns me is President-elect Obama's desire to please everyone instead of simply being who he is. You cannot please everyone no matter how hard you try and trying to please everyone means he won't stand for anything of value. I just know that he needs our prayers and he needs them now. If we don't pray for him and do as the Bible says, laws are going to be altered that will be a major downturn for our nation morally and that will be devastating to our nation as a whole. We have to pray for our leaders right now to be guided by God's wisdom and not that of men. We can't afford to sit back and allow our nation to deteriorate further than it has. This is God's country. He founded it for His people and we, as His people, need to stand up and fight for it.

Oh, and Andrea L, I agree with you wholeheartedly: Obama is a fake who needs all the prayers he can get. He's in way over his head.
Kimberly, does the First Amendment of the United States Constitution mean anything to you?
I mean, this is G_d's country, really! Get a clue, lady!
Now, on the other hand, Rick Warren creeps me out!!
