This holiday season, a group that I go to with the kids was going to have a Christmas Party (at my request) however the lady whose house it was going to be at got sick and it had to be canceled. I froze some cakes that I had baked to make a train cake and on Christmas Day, I made a two car train cake. I was going to make four but ran out of time.
Here are some pictures. One of my little cousins snuck into the kitchen and took the Santa off later. She was such a cutie, she's 2.

As a former cake decorator, I would like to suggest that you invest in a good roll of parchment paper or even just economical wax paper. Use it instead of the foil and your cakes will present better and be even more attractive without the shiny glare of foil.

It had several cars on it each one loaded with, logs of
licorice, black gum drops, and toy animals too !! It was
a big hit for all the kids that were at the party !!
