I came across this in todays paper.

Abraham Lincolns 200th Birthday is on Feb 12th. The Illinois Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission is looking for birthday cards. They prefer hand made cards, these cards may be on display or used for publicity. I thought this would be a really cool way to talk to our kids about Abraham Lincoln and all he did for our country. What a great project for a family or even a class room.

I saw on our local news that some are sending in old Lincoln memorabilia that has been in their family for years, and using this time to donate it back to the Lincoln exhibits.
