Prayers Needed for Gloira and Mark

I have news that's not so hot

I know it's not right for a poem

It seems that's how my mind runs now

It's about Mark getting Gloria home

She came home on the nineteenth

To beat the snow

Remember I wrote

And told you all so

Well they had a great time

on Christmas, and a few days

Children visited, they laughed

Had fun in so many ways

Then on Friday, she had to meet

Her new doctor, to look over her health

Part of her discharge requirements

But who could've foreseen this stealth

On Saturday, she did not feel well

I was sick myself but had many calls

She was getting something not nice

My son was climbing the walls

On Sunday she was in pain

And I thought to myself

This can't be true,  but you know,

She's in the hospital again

She has one of those lifeline things

someone responds when it rings

An ambulance came last night

I think what mystery life brings

She had emergency surgery today

and I'd like to ask you

Once more to pray

For Gloria and my son Mark too.

Thankfully,  so far she is okay

I sat with him in the OR waiting room

After I had my own appointment

What a long drawn out frightful day

The news is she had something seriously wrong

And the surgery was needed so quick

but tonight the pain is all gone

And I'm hoping you'll all take this tip

If something is not seeming just right

And your body is telling you so

listen and pay attention

God gives us notice you know
