I'm a slightly big fan of novels and movies that are related to supernatural creatures, specifically vampires. Some people think vampires are cliché, which is true at some point. Centuries ago, vampires were known in Europe mainly. No one knows if it's based on true history or simply myths. Basically, everyone interprets the thought as they desire.
Truth or myth, there are some perfect vampire novels and movies that must be read or seen, even if you aren’t a fan. For example, The Vampire Chronicles books. Though, when it comes to vampire movies, I'm no expert. Never had a favourite vampire movie (Yes, not even the Twilight so-called movie).
At some point of my life, I used to read a vampires-related book everyday. Some of them are now listed under my 'Favouite Vampire Books Ever!' list. But if you're recommended to read 'The Vampire Diaries' series, pass once you hear the title. It used to be a favourite vampire romance series to me and I used to recommend it too. But come to think of it, it was a real waste of time.
Maybe the reason why it sounded like the best vampire romance series was that the romance between Stefan and Elina was satisfying. Nevertheless, the beginning of everything in the novel was entirely put in the wrong way.
For instance, Stefan is an Italian new student in Elina's school. She, on the other hand is the most popular girl in school. And of course, Elina likes Stefan once she sees him, but not to the extent of falling in love. Unfortunately, Stefan doesn't pay her any attention, but even more, he starts to avoid her whenever he sees her. And that's when Elina insists on earning Stefan's attention, only because she wants him for herself and no one else. As the idiotic popular thought builds, her two best friends swear that they will do very much anything they can do to get Stefan and make him Elina's.
Furthermore, a whole book in the series is based on the diary of Elina's. Another girl in school is jealous of Elina and wants to make her humiliated in front of the whole school, using the very secret details in Elina’s diary. The book is dedicated to how on earth will they get Elina's diary and save her popular reputation from being ruined. That was extremely boring and sort of pathetic. And some how you start thinking that Stefan was a victim of a popular girl getting everything she desires. But of course, she changed in the end... I guess she changed after she died and came back to life again.
It might not appear as a stupid intention of Elina’s, or rather a low one, when you're reading the novel. Maybe that's because you get pulled in by the very good details and descriptions in the novel. More or less, it could have been more reasonable if the author of that book were a teenager or of an age around childhood. Because that series was childish.

This is my first post in a long time.
I was sick for about 7 weeks and now that I'm back to work I haven't been writing much.
But in the last week I've written about 5 chapters of my second book. If you're still around I would post one of the chapters for you. There is one problem with the book... no vampires.
Are you still writing?
David
Please post some chapters because they always give me inspiration. Lol you know, I'm not only into vampires. I'm into David's posts too lol
I'm still writing Mortal Vampires (The novel about Julian, the blood fetishist). I haven't written much lately because of exams and all. But I write every now and then.
