Towel Animals from the Carnival Imagination 12/8 - 12/12 2008

My husband and I were recently on a 4 day cruise aboard the Carnival Imagination.

Our cabin stewards made us the cutest towel animals.

First was a cute little frog:

Then a pig (I think):

Kissing swans were next:

Then the bunnies:

I used ponytail holders to make a bow for one of them lol:

Next was the dinosaur:

Then the elephant. The cabin steward must have liked my bow because he left the bunny.

and last was the koala:

We had so much fun and I can't wait to go on another cruise!

These are so cute. This is the first cruise where our cabin stewart didn't make any towel animals for us. I think they add a special touch.

I've never seen such a variety - those crew people must take an entire course of how to make these towel animals!! makes for a smile every time one is seen though, no?

OK, some of us DID NOT know that about cruise lines. The first night we'd rushed thru preparing for dinner, and when we got back, a towel lobster was wearing my wife's glasses and attempting to put on her lipstick.
Embarrassed we thought the attendant was implying we'd left the place a mess. (What did we know, it was our first cruise.)
The next day we left the place spic-n-span; to no avail,
we returned to find a crab clutching the day's menu.
BOINK! It dawned on us that this might be a cruise line tradition. We asked our table mates about it. Unfortunately we explained the part about us thinking the attendant was upset, first, so for a minute or two they bald-faced it, that no, they'd not had anything like that happen, but that they always hung up their clothes and even wiped down the mirrors before they left.
tick tock, finally they burst out laughing at the looks on our faces.
Gosh we were rubes!
