People are assaulting the city snow plow drivers for NOT moving the snow fast enough and not in their "area" or neighborhood and for blocking roads and cars - it's totally insane! Hurting them won't get the snow moved any faster!
There is SO much snow and they can literally only do so much at one time! Sure, it sucks being snowed in and/or stuck but it's something that most of us are experiencing and getting violent won't make it any better!
There is no possible way that the plows can clear out every single driveway as they pass it! There are too many and their main focus is getting the city streets clear so people can travel and commute safely! Shoveling out your own driveway is a given - come on people! Sure it sucks but what other option is there at this point?
My hubby and I have been using a SHOVEL! It's slow but it does get the job done!
This is INSANE and all over the news...
Over the past few days the number of assaults on plow truck drivers, which have ranged from shovel throwing to gun threats, have continued to climb along with December's record snow levels.
Simply put, the snow is at the root of people's frustration. It's the problem everyone is dealing with because there's nowhere to put it. People don't want it in the streets but when the plows come by it ends up blocking driveways and sidewalks even burying cars.
This year is unlike years past not only because of the record snow fall but because of the number of people that are angry about the snowfall and are taking it out on plow drivers.
While plow drivers and residents may not see eye to eye on a lot of things they do share one thing in common: Everyone is ready for the snow to stop.

I've seen where they've plowed the streets, but leave a big pile of snow where the driveways meet the street. I would get mad if that was the problem.
Sure that is one of the problems but what can they do? There is SO much snow! Shoveling out your own driveway is a given, it's not the job of the city workers!
Hug your plow driver today:)
I can see when it is a few feet though... Where the heck do you put all of it?
Every time we need our streets plowed they skip our alley even though they are supposed to plow it- drives me nuts. Not only do they not plow our alley, they also block it and we can't get out at all! I will shovel my driveway but I shouldn't have to shovel out the alley!!
