I love Christmas and I love shopping for my family and friends. I love looking for that special gift, which says just how much that person means to me. This year I managed to get something for everyone except for a very dear and old friend of mind. No matter how hard and long I took, I just couldn’t find something for her. Then while having a drink with a couple of buddies it suddenly occurred to me. I had the perfect gift, all along.
Some time back a Gather friend commented on one of my many art works and added if I had a print of it she would be willing to pay for it. Never really thinking of my art as sellable, I never really gave it much thought. But, now I knew that it would make a perfect gift.
First, I found one of my pieces that I thought she might like and added a small poem to it, I wrote some time back. I then found a print shop and had a print made of it on some high quality canvas style paper. Once I had it, I took the piece to a local frame shop and had set in a beautiful frame. I wrapped it up and gave it to her on Christmas. Of all the presents I gave, I was most proud of this one. I know this will hang in her apartment for many years to come, a small little legacy that I can leave behind.
