It was a good day to just go rambling to see what my camera might find.
The facade of a church just off Dickson St in Fayetteville. I liked the juxtaposition of the trees as it is in nature that I have always felt closest to the Divine.

This is a miniature Statue of Liberty erected by the Boy Scouts of America in the parking lot of an ambulance company. It's a little odd.

This is a building in Wilson Park which I am constantly drawn to photograph. The stone work is indicative of the style of building that is very common in the older parts of this region.

Just outside Fayetteville Square there are some older buildings, well older for this area anyway. This one was built in 1925 and gave an awesome moment of reflection (Dannielle, this one made me think of you.)

This building used to be an adult novelty shop. I love the pink trim!

Of course, there had to be a quiet moment with a tree.

Also in Wilson Park, a few words to take to heart.

I decided to play a little so here are these same photos in black and white.

Stonework in #3 is beautiful.
Adult novelties, eh? Meaning...umm...like a tiny book of Anna Karenina? Miniature bags of green teas? T-shirts with the word "Hell" spelled out instead of H - E - Double Matchsticks on them? Or...umm... [ *blush*] drawings of some without their pants on...like...you know...Donald? Oh MY!
Good stuff.
Donald...(*gasp*)...without pants!
I love the stone building the best. The texture and color of the stones and the window draw me. Top it off with that gorgeous blue sky (that I haven't seen in ages) and I'm a happy camper.
Good eye.
All of these photos are lovely. I wouldn't expect anything less.
That'll teach me to try to catch up on Gathering on work days.
Wise words from Richard B. Atkinson.
Thanks everyone for coming along with me on this ramble.
