It's the little moments (even though, they really aren't so little)....

A little while ago, we told our oldest son that it was time for bed.  We told him to go upstairs to brush his teeth and go to the bathroom.  Before heading up though, he came over to me, kissed me, and asked me if I would tuck him in.  My heart just melted.  He is only 7 years old, but I know that time will go by so fast and soon enough, he will not be asking me to tuck him in.

It's these moments that I cherish....they may seem small, but in my heart, they are huge.

The small things count for a lot. I love it when my kids do things like that. Its what keeps me going. My eight year old daughter hates it when I tuck her in now. I often go in when she has already fell asleep just to make sure that she is snug in her blankets.

yes....it is those moments that grab your heart.....they do grow up so fast.....i was so busy when my girls were growing up i did not notice so much.....but with my g'son who has lived with me all of his life i notice every little thing of his growing up....now he is a young man.....yesterday he was the baby i watched come into this world....

Boy, isn't that the truth. My grandson is six and is still into kissing. I try to get as many as possible because I know it won't be long until he won't want to kiss any more.

enjoy them now sarah for in a couple of years he might have spiked hair and have it dyed 3 colors and have a nose pericing and only wear black inclueing the lipstick lol

I know what you mean! My youngest turned nine recently, but, fortunately, he is still in that phase where he loves his mama more than anyone in the world. He writes me notes telling me I'm beautiful and the best mom in the galaxy!!! lol He is just so precious... I don't want him to ever grow out of it!

Ah yeah! My youngest boy is now 10 yrs old and tells me he is to old for that kind of stuff.
