What's the Missing Story? (A Write a Story Challenge)

I think Gather has gotten mixed up with my life. It seems like any event makes me wonder about the story on Gather.

I live on a block off a busy street. We're not a through street to anywhere as the block deadends into a 6 house street. We can only turn from our street in one direction so we aren't a good through street in either direction. We probably don't get 10 vehicles a day who don't live on the street.

About 2 weeks ago, there were boxes of brightly colored items spread across about 15' of someone's front yard. I figured they were there for someone to pick up for charity. Each time I passed it, I'd notice more. There was a baby carseat, a toy baby carriage, a small shelf, some chairs and more. Was someone angry and the gifts refused this way? The biological parent or grandparent's gifts being rejected made sense.

Or maybe these were things left in the house for the last load of moving that didn't happen. I wondered how the storytellers on Gather would spin it.

The stuff still sits there. It's been as cold as 27 and as warm as 81, rainy two days and windy a lot. Is anything ruined? The wrapping looks a little tired on a few things. It's surprising no one's picked up anything, although maybe they have. I don't slow down to see what's there.
