What Gift Were You Most Excited To Give This Year?

I have found that it is truly better to give then receive. I find that it gives me more satisfaction to see they joy on someones face when they open a gift especially my children's that I have picked out for them. This year I was excited to see how happy Hunter was going to be when he opened his gifts. This is the first year he was really able to get into the opening of gifts. The present I gave this year that I was most excited about giving was actually one I gave to my oldest son Spencer, one of my brothers, and my step father. We are all huge Nascar fans in my family and in the past I have given them tickets to the Daytona 500. This year I did it a little different and got them tickets and hotel accomodations to a race that none of us have ever been to and that we all want to go to. So in April we are all of to the race in Talladega. My son was super excited as this is the track he has always wanted to go to. My brother was wearing a smile from ear to ear and my step father who use to race cars when he returned home from Vietnam in the late 1960's although he tried not to show it he was probably the most excited of any of us. It was such a pleasure to see how happy they were with their gift.

Before Chris figured out what Gillian's DS was, dug it out of our closet, gave it to her, and egged her into opening it, that was one of them I was very excited to give her. Last year, Chris & Rae each got a DS, but we didn't think Gillian was old enough. She's been asking for one since last Christmas.

Aside from that, I was excited by all the gifts I gave Nick and the kids.

That's a tough one for me, because I was able to do some good ones this year! I got Trev an X-Box. It hasn't come yet, so I wrapped one of the games and wrote from Santa on the tag. He couldn't figure out who got it for him and was thinking he had to go exchange it for Wii. He finally figured it out that i said his big present is still on the way! He was really upset at first over the money until his sis and I calmed him down and told him it wa Gather money. Then he was upset because that's my laptop fund. I told him me doing withouit for a little while longer is worth it for him to have this game system. He's finally happy about it. =)

Oh Heather sorry you were not able to give it to her on Christmas. I have had to come up with some very unique places to hide gifts because my kids and husband like to snoop around.

we got our kids a new yamaha dirtbike and we got the 3 older ones all helmets, racing boots, pants, gloves, shirts and goggles.. They were soooo happy!! They had so much fun today! we also gave them their monster jam tickets in their stocking.. I much rather give than recieve

my daughter wants a ds Shes planning on saving her christmas money ended up being 70 dollars plus allowance and birthday money to get one.I got her a leapster Lmax 2 years ago and that thing sucked! and se was not that interested in it..

That was a great gift to give Kim and I bet he will appreciate it even more knowing that you gave up something you wanted for a little while longer so that you could get it for him.

I was excited to give my husband a really nice GPS that he asked for until he told me the day after i ordered it " never mind I want this one instead" I gave it to him anyways and he seems to like it but told him if he wants the other one we can return it.

A dream catcher I gave my 6 year old grandson.He ran over and said I Love You..I like the dreamcatcher too.thanks! He just made me feel so loved.I knew he wanted one but he reacted even more excited than i thouhgt he would

Nothing that can be measured in monetary form. Hearing from my friends early on christmas, seeing the happy faces of people, the hugs and warmth of family was my best gift(s)

I'm with you, Chris - I love to watch other people open their gifts more than I love to get them! This year I was most excited to see my 7 yr old open her Nintendo DS (that I won on Spotwinner). She was soooo excited! For my 4 yr old, it was watching her open her Barbie Peek-a-boo Petites. She's been BEGGING for some of those and I had accidently bought her 2 of the same so used one for a birthday gift recently and she was so upset that I was giving them away. I felt terrible to make her wait for hers but had to! So she was extremely excited about them when she opened them today!

I gave my son and his family a Wii with money earned On Gather. I saved all year and knocked out 4 people. They were very happy and so was I because it saved on shopping and shipping gifts for four. They called and said that their arms were already hurting from playing bowling.

I think the $200 tool kit that I got for hubby for Christmas.......I got it absolutely free, from my refunding hobby and through my points programs online.....gave it to him before Christmas, though....I was rather disappointed that he didn't act more excited about it...oh well!

Things got screwed up here, so actually none of the gifts my immediate family received....but that's another story.

I'm waiting to hear from another Gatherite to see about something I sent them....that's what I'm most excited to hear about.

I was most excited about giving my grand daughter Madie the Fisher Price digital camera, she loves to take pictures.
My favorite gift came from my husband, a Cannon SX10Is digital camera. I love it!

It wasn't the gift that received that made me excited, it was the gift that given. I have a relative, a Viet Nam vet who is on fixed income because of Agent Orange who computer crashed.

We were able to chip in and we bought him a new desk top computer, monitor, printer, MS Office and even threw in a Sony Cyber Shot digital camera. He was most thankful because he could never afford this on his income. I guess giving is the greatest joy.

My favorite thing to give was the bunny for my daughter. She has wanted a rabbit or a cat for a couple of years now. We decided on a bunny. Since my dogs want to chase cats now.

I could not wait to see my boys open there Wii. They have been wantting one for two years now and we finally went out and bought them one this year. We waited until last to have them open it and they loved it. But they really were not into playing it. They wanted to play there StarWars Monopoly, Trouble, there dogs, and a few other things. Joe had alot of fun with the Wii today and now wants to go out and buy another one for him. HAHA He can think! Other then that just the look on the boys face when they seen all the gifts under the tree. That is always my favorite part of Christmas.

I guess the ear rings I gave my wife. She thught they were fake stones until I told her they were Tanzenite to match the Tanzenite necklace I got her a while back. Of course the excitement of the great grandkids when they opened one from us on Christmas eve was great. I is kind of a tridition, everyone gets to open one and only one on Christmas eve.

Elliott had a lot of presents this year. I was really excited to see how happy he would be to see them all. We bought him a Wiggles DVD, and a Wiggles book, that had a little MP3 player that plays their songs. My mom bought him a different Wiggles DVD, and my sister found him a couple more books, along with a coloring book. Those were the presents we knew Elliott would be most excited about. In fact, he insisted on watching one of the Wiggles DVD's while he opened his presents. :) He was really excited about just about all of his presents, though. He was even excited about the clothes. :)

Elliott and I were able to sneak away and buy Daddy one surprise present, too, so I was pretty excited about that. Now that we only have the one running car, my husband is usually with me when I go shopping. He would have noticed the charges if I had ordered him anything online, too (not to mention he's home when the mail comes, since he's almost always on second or third shift!).

Knowledge - that's the best I could do.
I had a few that I was excited to give. My husband likes Mickey Mouse, so I got him a t-shirt & sweatshirt from Disney World. I also got him soem Bahama money & he liked that as well.
My daughter, we gave her a great new digital camera that she is loving~

The gift I loved giving the most was a bicycle for my daughter. She also turned five years old today.
I think the time I spent with people and for people was their biggest gift from me, but they may have have liked the actual gifts more.

for me it was my childrens presents. They wanted Guitar Hero world tour and we gave it to them on Christmas eve boy were they thrilled!

It would have to be the presents I got for my son since it is difficult trying to find things that will actually keep his interest. Some of the presents I got for my husband ended up having compatibility issues that seemed more of a hassle than it was worth and my dau was somewhat disappointed she didn't get what was on her list, so in the end I didn't fair so well with what I gave to others this year.

What a great gift! I like giving anything to anybody and seeing their reaction, but my favorite this year was the digital picture frame I got my grandparents so we could keep updating it with pictures of the grandkids and great-grandkids.

I did a photoshoot of my nieces and nephews, and framed the picture (2 8x10 and 4 3x6) of each of them, then gave them to their parents. It went over very well.
My Niece, who is four, I got her a denim skirt and pink tards outfit from the GAP, she is a little Deva, so she loved it. My Nephew I got 2 shirts he likes, I thought they looked ugly as hell, but he loves them. Go figure...
