Silly Me

What was I thinking?  I obviously was not!!!!  My face has been breaking out lately and I bought some over the counter face wash for acne.

When I woke up this morning my eyes were swollen shut and my face was all red and swollen and peeling.  It is a chemical burn.  I've had it before when I've gotten facials at salons.  I am putting ice on my eyes and took benadryl but it didn't help, just made me sleepy.

I obviously have highly sensitive skin and totally forgot not to try anything new.  I am paying the price now.  I will not go to church looking like this so I think I will stay home tonight.

No pictures for me that's for sure....but the good news is that we are spending a nice quiet Christmas at home so no one has to see this..LOL

Oh, no! I hope it goes down fast!! I have mildly sensitive skin, and have had that irritated 'burn' feeling after some products.
Take a picture and tape it to the inside of your medicine cabinet as a reminder!

You probably should start keeping a list of the ingredients in any products that you have a reaction to (of course along with the product name), so that you can get a better idea of which chemicals may be inducing such reactions.

I called the 1800 number and they can't do anything for me. They told me to seek medical attention. I can't it's Christmas Eve....they were no help at all!!

Danielle, I hope you are ok
My skin is extremely sensitive. I've learned to avoid almost everything, as a result. Mary Kay is a dream come true, for me, and usually, anything which says "hypoallergenic" leads to burns, breakouts, or profuse itching. Not sure yet what actual chemicals bother me, but I've narrowed it down to "what's in most" lotions and creams.
