Last weekend the "crew" couldn't resist going up on the Mogollon Rim (Arizona) to play in the snow.
On our way out we stopped in Star Valley to wait for our friends and pick up a few things at the convenience store. I saw this guy hanging above the street and decided to take him along with us. We'll call him A.C.

We decided to go up to Canyon Creek along the Young road. This is a nice area to see all kinds of things. Oh yeah, and be careful of fires this time of year! LOL.

As soon as we got in on the Young Road we realized we had a problem. The snow plows had come through leaving these huge berms of snow on the sides of the roads but didn't bother to put any access into the campgrounds. We all have 2 wheel drive vehicles and no where to turn around. Nice.

So we drove on down the road until we finally found a place where we could pull off, unload the quads, and get out easily later in the day.

Before we actually leave we make sure we take care of all the necessary duties.

Just look at all the virgin snow we get to go play in. The Game and Fish guy said there was anywhere from 14 to 16 inches of snow on the ground here. Perfect opportunity to test the quads out.

We drove down to Canyon Creek and it was beautiful. I love the reflections I caught. I'll bet that water is pretty cold.

We stopped off at the Canyon Creek Fish Hatchery so that I could take care of duties, again. We told the Game and Fish guy that we were intending to take the 188 road down to the O.W. Ranch. At first he said that he wouldn't recommend trying it but after seeing we were all 4-wheel drive he later changed his mind and told us to have a blast.

So, we drove through all the abandoned campgrounds along the 188 road, just because we could.

When we got to the 188 road we had to go over a berm to get there. Robert went over and didn't have too much of a problem. Jeremy went over and his quad took a nose dive in the snow causing him to launch sideways off his quad. After we knew he was okay we all just cracked up laughing. It's a good thing he had nice, soft snow for a landing pad.

Around noon we stopped to have a quick lunch. It was nice and warm in the sunshine.

While eating our lunch we noticed some really big footprints. Could it be Bigfoot or the Arizona Spittacroserous? I think I'd rather have Bigfoot.

We got all the way to the gate for the O.W. Ranch road and it was closed so we had to turn around and head back out.

Even a hawk flew around checking us out.

Oh yeah, and A.C., he had so much fun that he jumped a cliff. LOL.
