In January, New York Governor David Patterson will appoint a replacement for Senator Hillary Clinton, who leaves to become Secretary of State in the Barack Obama Administration. The leading candidate to replace her is Caroline Kennedy, daughter of the late President John F. Kennedy and niece of Robert Kennedy, who once held that seat.
Do you think it would be a good choice for N.Y. Governor Patterson to appoint Caroline Kennedy to fulfil the remaining two years of Hillary Clinton’s term as Senator?
A. YES
B. NO

Our founding fathers never envisioned the type of career politicians that we have come to know and love, like Uncle Teddy, Uncle Barney, Uncle Charlie, and the list goes on and on and on.
I say we let the Kennedy name go quietly into that goodnight.
Which was true, by the way.
Hillary had no official title. She never run for office, never appointed at anything other than a health care task force which failed.
She won and New Yorkers were happy with her. Why? She did not do anything in the Senate either other than bring the pork and vote for the war.
The point is, this jobs are far less serious than we think. They vote up and down and for that, it's about judgment and yes, BRAINS. You will not be an expert on energy, foreign policy, education, and so. Yet, you will vote on those key issues. You will have a staff who will brief you, you will hear testimony, read reviews.
For that, you need brains more than experience. The media and voters are over rating experience. Is it necessary? Yes, more important for the executive than the legislative.
She could not screw up more thant those already there even if she tried.
..............AND A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!
