Honey, though I'm not in the same boat you are, I feel where you're coming from. We may not have much, but we have it all compared to others. I know what you mean by wanting to provide your little one with something on Christmas. As bad as things may seem at times, faith will get you through the rough times and help you see your way through to a new day. When we think we have it bad, all we have to do is look at our fellow man to find others who are worse off than we are. Patience is virtue and good things come to those who wait. Prayers going out to you and your baby in hopes a 'Christmas miracle' might happen to help make things just a little better for you both.

I love his silky voice...........not too hard on the eyes either! :)

I remember a year that I literally had not a penny to buy a present for my daughters. I was so sad and didn't know how I'd bear it. I spent the 8 nights of Hanukkah with them - we played games, sipped hot chocolate, and colored gifts for one another. Looking back now, it was the most special Hanukkah.

I understand your frustration and sadness. Your daughter will be just fine with a loving mother to spend the holidays with and focus on the real spirit of Christmas. What you can do for her is to show her that material things do not define who you are or make you happy. That feeling comes from within.

Giving your time to your daughter is the biggest gift you can give her. When you're back to working fuull time, your time with her will be more limited.
