Reconnecting...

When my cousin got married she uploaded all of her wedding pictures to Facebook. I opened a facebook account to connect with her, and then discovered my Dad's entire family had done the same thing. When my husband and I had our second wedding ceremony in August, we put all of our pictures up on Facebook too, for the family.

I'm glad you still want to reconnect with someone from your high school days. I'm not to sure I want to vist with anyone from my high school era. Of course that was a long time ago, but high school is still high school.

I use both, but I go on Facebook more. I just like it better. And I've reconnected with people I haven't talked to since high school, as well as even further back!

It's good for reconnecting with friends, but also dangerous in a way.
I'm not a member of either but have heard good things about both!

Hi there -- I used to be totally addicted to myspace before I found Gather and I used it to post photos of my family and connect with friends & family. I signed up with Facebook quite some time ago but never liked it because it felt too cluttered so I never did anything with it. That is, until recently. One of my very good friends was talking about it saying how neat it is because a lot of people from her HS and work were there so I decided to check it out again and I really like it! It's neat because basically whenever someone makes a comment or changes their status or whatever, it shows up on your page. I guess that's what Gather did when they added the feeds but over here I've got so many connections that I miss stuff. On Facebook though I think I only have like 66 friends.

I have a Myspace account where i post photos for grandkids and nephews and neices

My MySpace account has allowed me to reconnect with friends from elementary school! I love being able to see their faces and their photos of their families, and to know how they're doing.

I've always stayed away from MySpace. That's a site for children and young people. About two months ago, I signed up for FaceBook to the request from a friend in North Carolina so I could keep up with the band he's in. (He's a drummer and I used to manager a couple bands he was in back in New York. He got married and moved south around 2000.) Since signing up for FaceBook, his younger brother's girlfriend has connected to me, as did two of my cousins; one from back home and another one I haven't seen in probably 20 years. Trouble is, since signing up, I haven't talked to any of them as they never seem to be on.

I had a Myspace account once but canceled it when my old computer crashed and never started a new one.

I have an account on Facebook. It is primarily used to keep track of friends from high school but I have other friends that are also there.

I hate those sites.
