Teddy bears piled high in the street
She'll never know their comfort and security
Search parties packing up their gear
Truth is known, our greatest fear
Cherub cheeks such an innocent one
Her life had barely just begun
We watched it all, we prayed, we wept
The Mother stayed silent, her secret she kept
In front of the house the protesters stood
Down the street, the baby lay in the woods
Today we know Caylee is not alone
Heavens gates opened, little Caylee has gone home

DN- Thank You!
A great poetic tribute, dear April... no consolation, alas and alas.
Blessings and best wishes - S.
It reminds me of the backdrop of the book The Shack, if you haven't read it, pick it up and embrace the loving messages that the author crafted so well.
Apryl, you surely found a gentle way to say goodbye to Caylee.

Claudia- I suspect her little life was very confusing and always in an uproar. I think the dysfunction in that home was off the charts. I will check out the book, Thank you so much for coming by. You inspired me to change the title of this piece.
Katherine, Katrina and Marianne- Thank You !!
Svetlana- Devil is an accurate description! I can't imagine what evil would possess a person to commit this awful, hideous act. I don't want to understand. Thank You so much for coming here today.
