This week, Time Magazine announced that its “2008 Person of the Year” is President-elect Barack Obama. The magazine says Mr. Obama has risen to “dominate the public sphere” in his short time on the national scene. It says he overcame “centuries of the social pecking order” to become the first African-American elected to the White House.
Do you agree with Time Magazine’s choice of President-elect Barack Obama as its Person of the Year for 2008?
A. YES

I voted for him three times (US Senate, Democratic primary and presidential general election) and I hope he turns out to be a wonderful president. But, so far, he hasn't done anything.
Good morning Ralph
Have a Grrreat weekend.
Better him than, ummm, Hilary Clinton. Or the so-called leader of Hamas, or the president of France, or a US Olympian, or a high-paid sports figure. Besides, what do you expect from a liberal magazine?
Just kidding. I can't think of a better choice for Person of the Year, than Barack Obama.
