"It Takes Two To Tango"

Has often been heard.

"It Takes Two To Tango"

Is not in God's Word.

When someone reaches out

When crying in pain

To say this to them

Borders insane.

There are just some

Who want to cause hurt

No matter what's true

They dish up more dirt

Deep down inside

They know it is wrong

But they begin new refrains

From the same old song.

"She/He deserves it,

As a matter of fact,

I heard she/he did xyz

So I will attack!"

Judgment and revenge

Come from cold hearts

It's how our relationships

Can be so torn apart.

"Vengence is mine"

Thus sayeth the Lord

So we could live in love

And not by the sword.

Dwell in your faith

And the forgiveness of sins

The gift of the Lord

To all who let him in.

We can only pray now

For the ones full of hate

For they don't know love

Or forgiveness by grace.

God is our salvation

He knows us inside

He knows all the years

And the tears we have cried.

His love is what counts

In this life of earth time

We have to trust in him

In this great design.

Sometimes we can wonder

What his plan is  about

When we feel all alone

And attacked by our doubt

God knows the beginning

The middle and end...

We have to have faith

For it's Jesus he'll send

To bring us to Heaven

The place we  await

Where love and peace reigns

Beyond it's pearly gates

No more will be

Sin suffer and hate

No more will be

The race to be "great"

But it took one less

To die for our sins

And to whom to confess.
