Snow Day

Well, my daughter's Christmas vacation starts early.  We haven't even had a flurry and her school is closed in anticipation of the coming storm.  At the moment the storm is encircling us and all the area schools have been closed.

Looks like it will be one quick errand this this morning and then settling into a day of movies and games, which beats the heck out of a day worrying whether she will make it home safely.

Anybody else have a snow day?

We are having a snow day as well. We didn't get anywhere near as slammed with snow as we were supposed to have, but it's all coated in ice from freezing rain this morning.

No snow here. They let out school the other day at 1:30 because of an impending storm-but the storm never came.

They did the same for my daughter, but her vacation doesn't start until next Wednesday I think.

It can be 95 and sunny and every day is a snow day for me. I didn't pay much attention to the news this morning, but I noticed lots of school closing. I looked out the window and saw nothing yet. A Winter Storm Warning went into effect at 7AM until 11PM. Weather radar shows the heavy snow just about to hit...calling for 6 - 10 inches this afternoon...with thunder...and 8 - 14 by midnight. Another blast or winter storm weather is due Sunday.

There are never snow days here even though it has been cold this year. I have even put on pants, as usually wear shorts year round.
