I can hardly believe three months have passed. Already he has grown so much, and each day is somthing new. Ryan Michael, my sweet baby grandson has brought me such joy! I don't want to forget any of it, so I have taken hundreds and hundreds of pictures along our short journey so far. Here are only a few that I took today to commemorate his 12 week marker.
I don't want to want to forget how his tiny fingers curl around my daughters hands (which still look like a little girl's hands to me).
I don't want to forget how his hands go to his mouth when he starts getting sleepy.

I definitely don't want to forget that innocent eyes look into mine for guidance, and that i should be the right example . . .
. . . or how at three months, he is completely enthralled with those amazing feet of his.

I never want to forget his adorable gummy grin and those shining eyes . . .

. . . or how this shot was a little out of focus because when Ryan started cooing and trying to talk with me, I got too excited to hold the camera still.

I don't want to forget how sweet Ryan looked at three months, with his passy in his mouth . . .

Or his crazy hair . . .

Or how I made up rhymes to make him laugh about Mr. Mouse who lives in Nana's house, who is the color blue, and who can rattle too . . . or Mr. Bunny, with the mirror on his tummy, who is the color green and is never, ever mean, only very funny, that silly, silly bunny with the mirror on his tummy.

I don't want to forget how excited he got the first time he figured out how to push the button on his toy phone to make it play music. His little legs and hands were kicking and moving, and his eyes got so big, and he smiled so big, then started making a panting sound . . . just precious.

I know how soon the time will pass, and memories become sketchy . . . and I want Ryan to look back at the pictures and know that . . .

. . . his Nana celebrated every moment, every expression, every mood, everything about the blessing that he is.

And! I want my daughter to remember these most wonderful moments too . . .

The perfect little flinstone toes . . .

. . . or the way he loves to jabber and wallow on his nose . . .

. . . or how beautiful she looked discovering him . . .

. . . and watching him discover and helping him to roll over on his side.

Doesn't motherhood agree with her?

He loves his mommy too. He is happiest in her arms. And he loves to curl his fingers in her hair. She does have a curtain of it to play in.

So, thanks for indulging a bragging, doting grandmother. I can hardly wait for the twins, come April. I am so blessed, and perhaps that is why I see the world as a beautiful place, despite what the news says.
It is my prayer for you this evening, that you also be richly blessed and that all your days be beautiful ones. Goodnight, all. Be well.
