He Was 2 Months Shy of His 40th Birthday

I just got an email notification/invitation to a funeral for someone I went to High School with.  I hadn't seen him since graduation, but found myself weeping just the same.  We weren't what you would call friends or close friends.  He was such a nice guy. I was in my High School band for one brief year or basically just until after the New Year.  I knew him through being in the marching band together.   I just read his obituary in the newspaper of my hometown and saw all the things he had done with his life. It was very inspiring to read and sad at the same time.  It's one of those why moments and he was still so young!   He married his High School sweetheart, but I didn't see any children listed.  It doesn't say what happened other than tragic which leads me to believe accident of some sort.  I can't imagine what his wife and family are going through right now....
