I woke up about 3:45 this morning so hungry so I decided to get up and have a bowl of cereal and I let the kittens out of the carrier to play for a few minutes. They just have so much fun together. Grace is bigger than her brother and she tends to pounce on him and pin him down until he squeals to get up. Sometimes she lets him up and sometimes I have to intervene. She's just so playful! And, they are both adorable!
Mercy's little foot is almost all better and the fur has almost completely grown over where it was missing. It's amazing how God created their little bodies to restore themselves. How anyone can see that attention to detail even in a small animal and not know that an intelligent being created it and designed it instead of some silly idea of it all just happening, I will never understand. I think it takes more faith to believe that than to believe in God.
Anyway, the babies are doing fine and Duchess (one of my older babies) has taken Mercy under her wing, so to speak. She cleans him and acts like he belongs to her but if Grace comes around, she bats her away with her paw and poor little Gracie is just stunned trying to figure out what she did wrong.
Gracie, though, is so affectionate and just relaxes in my hand and starts purring every time I pick her up. I'll put her in my arm like a baby and rub her little tummy and she just purrs and bites my fingers.
I think they are about 8 weeks old at this point. But they are both active as can be and happy as two kittens ever were. The only time they don't like it is if they get into their poop and I have to clean them up or when I have to put them in the carrier when I go to bed or when I leave for work since they still aren't old enough to be out without supervision. There are just too many things that they could get hurt with if I'm not there to keep an eye on them.
I just thought you guys would like an update!
