Many good actresses, hard to say who my favorite is, for acting talent probably someone like Emma Thompson though.

I once favored Bette Davis. But then I became friends with her daughter. I won't go into THOSE conversations. Let's just say that I changed my mind. Now? I LOVE the elegance, and sophistication of Audrey Hepburn.

As far as today's actresses? There is no way that most of them hold a candle to the actresses of old. By the way, thank you for referring to them as actresses and NOT actors.

I also thought Greta Garbo was extremely talented. I keep returning to the actresses of the past, because the ones of today do not put out much acting.

The English ones are much better, though. Sorry, but they are. I cannot think of her name, but she starred with her husband and Denzel in a Shakespearean -- what's her name? Now, SHE is VERY, VERY, VERY GOOD.

Halle Berry. A very LONG overdue Oscar. Excellent actress.

One American actress who must be credited is Meryl Streep.

The Redgrave actress -- she's is SUPREME! But she has allowed her political activities to pretty much ruin her acting career, and that's too bad. I don't go in much for commercialism in acting. It's quality, not what draws at the box office.

I see you have Angelina Jolie up there in your tags. Sure, I'll add her. Why not be frivolous, since David wants to talk "Daisy Duck"!!! Angelina is certainly one of the most beautiful. I give the beauty prizes to her and Halle, so alrighty then.

Are you talking favorite as in beauty, as in acting ability or as in both? Actually it does not matter my list would be way to long. From Veronica Lake to Lena Horne. From Kate Beckinsale to Goldie Hawn. From etc. etc. you get my drift. And yes Neetah Halle Berry is very beautifull and Audrey Hepburn was the epitome of grace, beauty and class.

I like Sally Field, Julia Roberts, Goldie Hawn, and I've enjoyed Jennifer Lopez. She does a good job making her characters come to life & believable. And for an older actress, I've always liked Angela Lansbury. She's done everything from Broadway to movies & tv. Westerns to Disney. Always a pleasure to watch!

I'm a Goldie Hawn fan myself and her daughter Kate Hudson is following right in her mom's footsteps. And I love Meryl Streep. There are so many good actresses but honestly, I favor the older ones. She's like today, some have lost their class. JMHO
