During the early morning on Friday, December 12th, a fierce ice storm hit New England causing massive amounts of damage, knocking out power and heat to nearly 1 million residents. Throughout the night, all you could hear were the sounds of trees snapping and crashing into cars and homes and power lines and transformers popping. Nearly 4 days later, hundreds of thousands are still left without heat or electricity and don't expect that to change for several more days. While even the local media hasn't done a very thorough job of chronicling the devastation (The Boston Globe barely had any coverage until DAYS after the storm), many residents have done a good job showing the world on YouTube. Here are some videos from my hometown of Worcester, MA.
