Well I suppose if I am serious about forgiveness I better find out who it is that is unforgiving and or in need of forgiveness.
Yesterday Nathan wrote what can only be called a parody of Robin here in this group, after the initial shock had dissipated I asked the question "what is this for" and only then did it come into proper perspective.
When I ask, what is something for, I remember WHO I'm asking. Am I Robin, or Nathan or the Sleeping Son of God? If I am Robin then Nathan is the asshole who hurt me so I can't forgive him from that point of view.
If I am the Sleeping Son of God I get to see both Nathan and Robin as projections of my own singular mind, I see that Nathan is offering me a forgiveness opportunity that "I" projected into the dream to be offered as a chance to relieve myself of another layer of buried unconscious guilt.
If I want to utilize true forgiveness I am required to see who it is that is responsible for the error. Projections forgiving projections is all well and good but it has nothing to do with the process A Course in Miracles is attempting to address.
True and lasting forgiveness cannot occur until I see and accept my total responsibility not as the projection of a body called Robin but as the Sleeping Son of God, the one responsible for outfitting my Spirit brothers with projected forms.
The secret of Salvation dear brother, is not a two way street, I am doing this to MySelf!
Blessings
Robin

I don't think forgiveness requires that we give the forgiven another chance to hurt us. Forgiveness needs to be tempered with common sense.
Thanks.
Thank you for the invite, sir.
As you live A Course in Miracles, "the memory of truth" and the illusion, come closer and closer together...
I'm hard stuck against the reality that forgiving someone does not change their thoughts attitudes and/or actions.
At some point, doesn't that other person hold some responsibility for their attitudes, actions and words? Should I always be forgiving them for their errant thoughtlessness and meanness?
Carol, your brother will reap what he sows. It will catch up to him at some point. I can see your struggle though. Bless you all. Great topic Robin.
Thanks to share this Robin aimed before Christmas
to clear mind clutter if applied by the practice!!!
