Holy Crap It's Cold Outside!

Man! I don't remember it being this cold since I lived in Denver! I had to take the garbage out this morning and our driveway is very long. A big, long, curving hill. Crap, was it cold!

I'm really hoping the kids aren't made to go out to recess today. Even with coats and hats... It's too cold.

I think I'm going to light the pellet stove today. The cold has gotten to be too much for my heaters. They can't keep up.

What's it like where you are?

Well, we had an ice storm Thursday/Friday. It was 20 degrees on Saturday for a high, but today it is supposed to be near 50... then cold again tomorrow. Crazy weather!!
It is just frigid out. I just went out to put some mail in the mailbox. Usually, I go without a coat, and today I grabbed my coat. I'm glad I did- it was so cold! Then, the mailbox was iced shut!

It's ten right now, warmer than it was last week, but colder than it was yesterday. Actually yesterday it warmed up pretty well so that I was running around in a heavy sweater to put all the decorations up.

Didn't want to go outside with the dogs this morning, but they were begging to be let out.

Cold and windy. Clear. It rained yesterday so I expected to drive to work on ice this AM but it was so windy overnight and the air must have been so dry that the pavement was dry this AM! Wind chills are in the teens below zero.

Yep, it's cold all right! You could put the garbage in the back of the van and drive it down the driveway on the way to take the kids to school. I used to put the garbage on the hood of my car to take it down when I lived there.
