My Monday morning

My morning started with my son not wanting to go to school which I should have taken as a clue. He normally loves school and loves to go and has only told me one other time that he didn't want to go because he was sick.

So, we pull up and get my son out and as soon as I get in the door one of the teachers tells me that they are not accepting any kids today. Apparently the door locks were changed and they had no idea what was going on. One of the teacher's climbed in through a window so they could get all their supplies out. Michael's teacher was out on the patio area on her cell apparently talking to the parent school that owns them. This apparently came out of no where and they are going to call me tonight to tell me what is going on.

So, now I am faced with an additional week of no school since winter vacation is the two weeks after. Now I have to wait for the phone call and have to find out if this school will be reopened or not and if I can even change schools mid year. He is in the free VPK program here in Florida.

On a good note, the company that Wayne is supposed to work for called today and said they are just waiting for the background check to come in and that he should have paperwork and a start date later today.  I will then be able to put in my resignation at my job but still trying to figure out how I am going to give my son a Christmas.

I also found out that my nephew/godson proposed to his girlfriend this past weekend at my sister's annual tree trimming party in front of 34 people. My sister sent me a pic. He got down on one knee and proposed. I only wish I could have been there.

I hope everyone else's Monday is better than mine so far.
