Do I need to delete our family photo album? Big Sighs....

Hello everyone!

I have new photo's uploading of the 1st Year Family Photo's and everyone on Gather has been talking about wanting to see them, but once posting and uploading them, I barely received any feedback. We have received an average of 5 comments per photo, which I was expecting more feedback than that, according to 30 people or more stating to see them on articles Walter C. (my man) has posted.. If no one wants to see them I can take them down and delete both of my daughter's photo's. Sighs.

It frustrates me how many people have told Walter C. (my man) that they'd like to see photo's and then when posting them, there is barely any feedback. Let me know if anyone wants me to take them down. I don't like to be lied to. And as for the low ratings on my photo's, I sure don't appreciate that, neither.

I think my baby girls are adorable regardless of the low raters! ::Teary eyed::

Then again, I apologize for anyone taking the time to view the photo's. I give you a BIG Thanks!!! I will do my best to return comments to the individuals that have taken the time to view our family album.

Also, if this link above doesn't work, it is Titled, "1st Year Family Photo's" on my Profile Spotlight page. The Photo seeming to get the most hits currently is my default photo, which most others have about an average of 5 comments.

PS. I still don't see what the problem seems to be because I sent out a Gather Broadcast message titled Photo's of the Girls, and still, that didn't increase the feedback.

Please, don't consider I'm complaining, but I just don't like to be told something (especially not the truth). I'd rather hear "I'm not interested" then to hear people say "We can't wait to see photo's of the girls" and stuff like that.

I think you need to give people a little more time to find them. Weekends are a lot less busy on gather than during the week, because a lot of people have more stuff to do on weekends.

I've viewed them all. Your kids are adorable. However, I was holding my son while I was viewing them, so I didn't leave any comments. I don't comment on even close to half the pictures I view anyway, though. That doesn't mean I don't take the time to look at them or anything, though. I just don't generally leave comments if I don't feel like I have something to add to whatever I am viewing.

I saw themn yet I can not rate it wont allow me to rate on pic not sure why, we are here for you it may not seem that way just to be to upset you did get alot of view
do what I do mail out request if those dont want therequest they can let you know

Ok. Good point. I didn't think of that. Thanks for the views. I appreciate it and your feedback Just sometimes when people view my pics, I just wonder if they really liked them or didn't like them (and didn't leave any comments due to not liking them), but again, I appreciate your feedback. Thanks for the good tips and pointers. I didn't look at it or anything about the weekend. Totally slipped my mind. :)

I'm on my way over there. I'd check in on your views instead of worrying about the commenting. Albums are harder to comment on than individual photos.
I see a lot more comments and views on my articles than my photos anyway- a lot of people just don't take the time to go through photos.

Don't ever take low ratings as personal, ok???? There are lots of idiots here and they get some weird pleasure when they click that '1' button. That's why I don't allow ratings on anything anymore. Ha.

This weekend has been very slow for viewing and commenting. I don't play with the albums but can you change the photo that displays on the cover? I ask because I know it is a photo that Walter also displayed. Maybe people see that one photo and think you both posted the same photos. I know some of the photos were duplicated but unless you go through the album you don't realize that many were not. I also have a hard time commenting on every photo in a large album so tend to disburse my comments across at least five or more photos before moving on to someone else.

when did you put them up? Give people time -- some are doing christmas things on the weekend. Like shopping, wrapping, baking, cooking, decorating, partying, driving to visit relatives, cleaning.......... hahahaaa........I better get to work!

Just to let you know, I view as that is where the points are at but I generally do not comment, and I stopped rating along time ago as it is not worth it unless they are in a contest and then I rate.

I don't look at photo albums very often. It takes longer and sometimes makes my computer go real slow. I've heard many others say the same thing. This is just a suggestion, I would send them out as individual pictures, maybe 3 at a time, I say 3 because that is all that shows in the feeds, then after a few weeks, place them in an album. I'll make sure I check out your pictures because I know it means a lot to you.

Don't get frustrated, you know its hard to keep up on here by everyone. We all would like lots of participation on our content. The talk here is interesting regarding albums and comments. I think views are more important than comments (for points), they are just not as rewarding to us. Some people view, and don't comment. Some comment on a few. There is no point to comment (or view) on 5-6 photos that each look the same, whether it be kids, cats, or whatever. Lots of people pass on duplicate photos, me included. The new albums are a different subject with mixed reviews. I don't use them yet, but like the idea of posting a few individual photos, them moving them into an album later. Did you know that as an album grows, and then you add even one new picture, the ENTIRE album with all pictures gets reposted? This is one reason some groups don't like/allow them. Do what you can and have fun.

it looks like everyone kinda said the same thing. so don't stress and don't take it personally. sometimes i wonder the samething and just shrug my sholders and post whatever I feel like posting next.

I am behind in my emails. So, I have not been aware of you posting any pictures of the girls. As for that group you are talking about. I am not a member as I don't like getting 50 private messages from people I don't know to look at their stuff but never return the favor by looking at mine.

I to don't get very many comments on pictures anymore. I post all my photos. After awhile I place them in private albums for only me to access. So, it is not like anyone can see hundred's of my photos at one time. Maybe 20 - 50 if I am in happy snapping picture mode.

This past two weeks have been very busy for me. Between going to court, having my teen son suspened, going to to his probabtion office several times ( it takes an hour to get there) plus do things that he is required to do. he doesn't drive so of course mom (me) gets to be chauffer, plus my sister in law has been in the hospital since last week. I had her special needs daughter plus my own. That alone is a challenge. I could keep going but I won't bore you.

I will go look at your pictures via the link you gave me.

i don't always get a chance to look at huge albums, though I do try. I've started just uploading one or two at a time, it seems that more people will look and comment that way.
