Well, this has been one of the coldest times in Dec. in Northern MN. for a long time. I mean, we get temps way below zero in Jan. and Feb., but by tomorrow night it will be 21 below zero.
And I am just shaking already...and hoping...and praying.
On Friday our water pipes were already frozen, all day. So no shower, no dishes, no laundry. By Friday night, the pipes (around 10 30 pm) broke open, and one actually broke...little mini flood in dh shoproom. So again, no water.
Yesterday it was fixed, but not till about 6 pm did it get finished. Boy, did I take a long shower last night.
Now, we are left with an open tub back, and cold weather was sneaking in, so hubby had to put insulation in the holes, and for the rest of the day we have to keep water trickling.
Please....water stay on, and no more bursting pipes.

Paying it Forward
good luck with your pipes
I think the trickling of the water is the key. At least that worked for me when I was in Washington.
Take care and I wish you water whenever you want it!
just leave it trickling and maybe it wont refreeeze.

When it gets cold tonight, I'll think of you.
