Greetings! Lately, I've been feeling guilty about not taking my little dog out more. Oh, she goes on daily walks and she runs around the house and yard and gets treats. She adores her brother, Charley and misses her other brother, Henry but...she's been looking a tad sad lately. Loquita Rhodesia aka "Roadie" Titus is a chihuahua mix who was adopted. All of my "kids with tails" are adopted and I love each one of them and try my best to give them loads of attention. Today was Loquita's day. I took her down town.

Here we are at the Paseo Nuevo Mall in Santa Barbara. It's an outside mall which is wonderful and filled with nice plants as you can see.

Roadie enjoying keeping a bar stool from staring at the ceiling. She loves to visit the James Joyce because it's dog friendly and they have kegs filled with peanuts in the shell. Note the floor!

She has a tendency of running me ragged! Thank yall for coming along. Salud

Nice bar. Looks like a good place to just sit and relax for a while.
Love Roadie too!
Sure wish I was sitting there drinking that cold one with you! :)
Have a great weekend!

I don't have a dog. Never have - so I don't know if I would. I probably would sometimes. Downtown Santa Barbara looks lovely! (and cold?)
I don't have pets owing to allergies. I got dog ehen in junior high and loved to take him everywhere. He'd even share my hoagies and pizzas. For most of his first year he was small enough that I could carry him in my jacket pocket with his head sticking out!
When I had a dog he generally stayed home.
I'm pretty picky about keeping the windows
on my vehicles clean and I found that dogs
made a mess of them with their wet noses.
Miz Jessie - Grandmother is fine - she's 99 and still has a dry wit - very funny!
John my two big dogs were like that - one just died and I'll miss his head out the window but the other one may still do it on a long trip!
Bless your heart, Rob! Thanks.
Bob, that's not a winter coat - it's a light-weight cashmere blend sweater type thing...put on your glasses...lol...
Phaedra, she sounds like fun!
Bob, I know what you mean - my two black labs were like that - overly friendly to people but hated other dogs or anyone who looked vaquely threatening.
more later. Salud
OMG Rick - tell me about that diet - your dog is absolutely gorgeous - awwwww sorry he died but what a long life for a big dog! Mine just died at 13 and a half - I miss him so much. I had a cat that was 28 when she died...Your precious dog is totally one in a million - thanks for the pictures - I hope you adopt another one - you sound like a great parent! Salud
My previous dogs, though bigger, (65 lbs or thereabouts) were a joy to take with me, and everyone loved them. And the worst thing they ever did was lay a slightly drool-y head in someone's lap and look at them in such a way that the lap-owner couldn't resist.
Roadie is precious... I think I've been to that mall...
nooooo...... we go anyplace at all it's on a leash.
I would take him with me in the car all the time, but he grew so big he accidently shifts the gears. It just isn't safe to have him up front, and he doesn't want to ride in the back of our shell-covered pickup bed where he slides when I go around corners. My old Sherpa fits up front but I would have to lift her in and out and she is too heavy now that she eats regularly.
