From the Associated Press, we learn that Robert Mugabe, the eighty-something year old guy who has run the country of Zimbabwe as his personal toy for the past 28 years, declared yesterday that cholera has been wiped out in that African nation, and that the health crisis there is now over. "So now that there is no cholera, there is no cause for war anymore. We need doctors, not soldiers" said Mugabe during a hourlong TV broadcast there.
In other news, the U.N. raised the death toll from Cholera in Zimbabwe to 783, and said that 16,403 cases have been reported. South african authorities have declared the border region near Zimbabwe to be a disaster area as the disease has turned up there as well. The U.S. ambassador to Zimbabwe, James McGee, commented on Mugabe that this showed "how out of touch he is with the reality" of Zimbabwe, adding that "the situation is truly grim." Britian's Africa Minister, Mark Malloch-Broiwn, commented "I don't know what world he is living in" in reference to Mugabe.
I can shed some light on that topic, Mr. Malloch-Brown. For your information, Robert Mugabe is out of radio contact at the present time, enjoying a relaxing vacaction on the Planet Mongo. What you heard was a recorded speech uttered by a special android that he purchased last year in London to serve as his stand in during vacations. Whenever you hear anything from that android in future, the correct response will be to put your fingers in your ears, and yell loudly: "doodee doodee doodee I can't HEAR you" until the android's mouth ceases to move.

So what will a warrant from the Hague do? Who is going to enforce it? It'd be nice if the AU had done something but they won't of course, solidarity among the majority of governments there is far more important.
