Our Christmas Table

Tonight I decided to go to Wal-Mart and see if I could find a few items to make our Christmas table sparkle this year. Last year we really didn't do much for decoration and so this year I wanted to make it extra special. I found some pretty goblets for our sparkling cider and I was going to purchase a couple plates but changed my mind (trying to be frugal as possible) and I was also going to get cloth napkins, but maybe next time...

I picked up a small set of lights and I already had the gold Christmas tree from last year, and I thought that might look good as a center piece. I also got my first cloth table cloth - it really helps to bring it all together and it was only $7. 

Robbie really loves the lights and the tree :)

Thanks Beth! I am really looking forward to Christmas this year...or Christmas Eve - when we will be celebrating.
It looks really lovely all pulled together.

After Christmas, go back to Walmart, you might be able to find a lovely set of dishes for half price. A few years ago, I got 2 sets of cream colored dishes with a thin gold rim on them for $5/set.

I already took it down because Robbie wanted to tear it apart - hopefully it will stand up to Christmas dinner with the kiddo - I just had to see it all put together to see if I needed something more.

I think it's lovely the way it is, but maybe a single white votive candle would be nice during dinner.

Yeah, I was thinking of adding a candle or two - maybe the flame-less kind if the kiddo is too rambunctious. Don't want burns.

Oh my, my husband would LOVE that christmas tree! He loves arty looking metal trees. I posted a picture of the one he had before I met him that we are using this year because we don't have the time for any fancy decorating! Don't you just love picking up bargains after Xmas, like the tablecloth? I also got one last year, a forest green one.
