The internet has given us an open door for research and information.
All the librarys and the combined general information of humanity can now be accessed from a internet portal and laptop.
We already have the technology and it would be the most basic thing for us to accomplish!
If every house in the USA was wired for high speed internet and at least one computer per household was provided like a phone- we would revolutionize education and information advancement.
How much would it cost to give every house a computer?- It is a cheap investment actually.
High speed internet can be purchased in bulk by the government and education could be radically improved if we let our technology reach all of our citizens.
The same goes if there is one buyer for pharmecuticals- the price would come down because of the volume- that seems basic? Unless the system is corrupt?
Just some simple thoughts just in case it hasn't occured to anyone who might be planning to spend your investments- why not invest in the USA?
Our children need it now and dollar for dollar it will be far better than trying to solve most all problems.
So this letter sent out to the sea of the internet- like one in a bottle cast adrift to hopefully find a distant shore and ears to hear.
It would stimulate the economy and provide and valuable information for everyone.
Don't hold up this important piece of legislation- we cannot dilly dallie for long!

Unfortunately most computers are made outside the USA,but our children are not!
Libraries are being set up all over the country with high speed, even wireless! Take the lap top in, sit comfy. Sit in your car even......some coffee shops even have it, but if you sit in your car here in our state it is called theft. Some cities I saw in the news are set up for wireless, state facilities even, free. Even dial up can be free these days.......not fast but free.
With the public schools so bad in some places, the internet is the way to go! But the poster above is right, eating is first..... educating the hungry is hard.
How many people still have no computer or high speed internet?
It is around 50 percent.
I was addressing this letter to the people who have the money and the technology to step up to the plate- together- we could fix many problems and it would improve our education system.
It would connect our children and then they could then be the leaders to help the rest of the world.
First though we have to practice Triage- it reminds me of the story of the life raft- we must save ourselves first like the air masks on the Jets first you fix yourself then you can really address the rest.
Unless the people with the power and the technologies step up to the plate now- I am afraid I am just speaking to an empty room.
My Edna Driscoll story incarnate.
I hope we can regain a feeling of true public service and not whats in it for me?
Thanks for your comments!
