Caroline Kennedy Follows In Tradition

I'm sure many of you have heard that Caroline Kennedy is planning to run for office.  I don't know enough about her views to say I'm for or against her but since she's a Kennedy, she'll probably be a liberal.  The difficult thing for me about this is that I've always liked Caroline Kennedy and respected her so I'm hoping that she isn't as liberal as some of her relatives and that she uses her head and stands on her own instead of doing what may be expected of her.

Like I said, I really do like Caroline and feel for her having lost her entire immediate family.  That would be horrible to have lost both parents and an only sibling.  I know that she has the support and love of the rest of her family and that they are a close knit family, which I've always admired about them.  There are other things I do not admire about the Kennedys but their family loyalty is something I do very much admire.

We'll see what happens.  I will definitely be watching.

I remember Caroline Kennedy from when she was like 4, 5 years old and lived in the White House with her family.........and have seen her grow up into a beautiful woman.....even though I am a Conservative, I truly feel that she has a very level head and can definitely stand on her own......I really think she would work out great in the Senate and would have a lot to contribute.

She had a conversation with NY Governor Patterson who will appoint a replacement senator to fulfill the remainder of Hillary Clinton's term. He said she did not ask to be considered at that time but asked questions about the post.

She's being considered, from what I understand, as a replacement.
I'm not sure
I don't know enough about her, but I have not found many democrat people that I can stand behind if any.

I've heard that she may be appointed by the governor of NY to take Hillary's senate seat. I think she would be a good one--not motivated by greed or power. The Kennedy's are brought up to respect public service. They're not in it for the money. She has resisted being involved in politics up to now. If she does go that route, it will be for the right reasons.

I agree that it is probably her's for the taking. She has impressed me with a quiet intellect and strong bent to community service.

I've no real knowledge of Caroline as an adult but the family is oriented to public service of one sort or another and I would not be surprised should she enter the arena!
