Hypocrisy of Meredith Viera

Some of the auto workers dont make a whole lot of money as it is. It sounds like she hasnt done her research.

I was going to say the same thing. How can she have the nerve to tell them that they make too much? Isn't she one of The View people? You don't really watch that show, do you, Shelley?

It is bad. First, if someone is making decent money, for a job that takes the talent of dealing with repetitive movement over and over on a daily basis, and secondly to survive the cost of things nowdays. What does she think is fair for us peons? The minimum wage? This aggravated me. And by the way, a friend of mine took early retirement and he and his friends who had to do this four years ago, lost some benefits, and had to give up some stuff. It was good that he did this tho, as it turns out. But how can anyone think in todays times that an American makes too much for a lifetime of service, and supporting their family? I agree with the other comments. Good Post, Good Question. One more thing, if they are gone, and NO ONE has a decent job, just TV commentators and such, will she then be happy? It does not sound to me like she has notice we DO NOT HAVE much industry left, that employs so many, with such a ripple effect to follow if they lose out. SHEESH! And she is UP on the news? Ellen B

Sue, I usually watch the first few minutes before leaving for work. Sometimes its on and I'll just come and sit down. She isn't on the View though. She's on the Today show.

I don't like her, so I'm pretty biased here. However, maybe she was supposed to be saying it for the rest of us. When auto workers went from an average of $79 an hour to $49 an hour, many people thought it was still too much. However, any drop of that magnitude would be hard on any household. Except maybe those making mega millions like she is.
