A woman in North Carolina forced her daugher's school to take the song, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, out of the school production so her daughter wouldn't hear the words Christmas or Santa. How absurd! What is she going to do? Block her child's ears every time the song comes on the radio or is on in a store? This woman is an absolute nut!
Talk about controlling your child's life! If you don't believe in Christianity, that's one thing but to try to shield your child from finding out anything about it is a bit extreme. Actually, she did her child a favor because I'm going to pray for her daughter to get saved and be a witness for the whole world to see.
What are people so afraid of? The only thing Christianity is about is to save you from going to hell and to bless you. Why are they so afraid of going to heaven?

Thanks for this very informative article!
If people want there child to not hear such things they need to home school there child.
BTW, I'm sure she wouldn't want you to pray for her child. Does your view of heaven exclude non-Christians? If so, you are a hater.
There is no such thing as heaven or hell, so don't worry about it. Oh, BTW, man created god in his own image, and Jesus was just one of hundreds who was crucified, nothing special about him.
The objecting parent was upset about the words “Christmas” and “Santa” in the song, feeling that they carried religious overtones.
That prompted the song to be pulled from the upcoming holiday concert, which in turn upset more parents.
But Rudolph will be shining bright next Tuesday after New Hanover County school administrators and lawyers determined the song was just, well, a secular song about a make-believe reindeer.
“They’ve determined that it signifies just a day in time, Dec. 25, not the promotion of a religious symbol,”
The mother, who is Jewish, said she was trying to have a Hanukkah song added to the musical lineup but had not received a return phone call about it from school officials by mid-afternoon Friday.

I am all for people believing in what they want and I guess they want to raise their kids to believe what they do, but in the end they can not shield them from everything that they object to...and maybe its better that they cant. To me its better to let them experience things and have an open line of communication to talk about them. Parents can still guide their kids in things without depriving them of experiences. I mean what happens when they get out into the real world? What if they have no reference point for things because their parents kept them so sheltered and rather than be open and talk to them about it they just tried to keep them away from all that went against their beliefs?
I dont know..I dont really get extremist at all. I feel bad for the child because not only are they robbed of experiences their parents have now made them an outcast among their peers and school authorities.
