It was a beautiful day today, and for the first time in over a week I was actually looking forward to our afternoon walk.
At noon it was around 80 degrees F, and there were a few clouds on the sky. It later became windy, but then it changed back to sunny and beautiful.

Sky and I left the house at noon, and we took a longer route to school (about 2.5-3 miles) that we don't usually take. This meant that we got to see some different things, which suited Sky perfectly. We had an hour at school before we were supposed to pick up Roshane, so we brought our lunch to the playground, which is something Sky loves.

The cold fronts that we have had back to back down here in South Florida has actually resulted in many leaves changing color, something I rarely saw last fall.

We still found lots of beautiful flowers and fruits, and Sky was excited to see a cat hide in the grass.

Coconut

Papaya

Bananas

We even found some Christmas color.

We found a banana tree and a mango tree where we could get branches to expand on our growing projects in the back yard.

Your photo essays are always so great. I fight with them when I even try. Do you host the pictures somewhere else, so that you can get the bigger pictures? Do you mind telling me your secret?
Vivian I hope you too stay warm and safe... and take lots of great pics:)
Thank you Bob, Julie, Xuong and Doc. It really was beautiful today. I got my boys tired out as they are both napping:)
Thank goodness the weather has turned warmer! I will be arriving in Orlando tomorrow around 3pm. I am torn on what I should wear - since I am leaving cold to go to warm...but don't want to freeze between here & there! Layers!
Mariana, I don't know of any sites, but I have tried unsuccessfully to grow coconut palms. I'm going to try again though, and I just need to get the right seeds. I really love the papaya trees, and I want one so bad. My husband thinks I'm crazy with all the stuff I'm growing in our backyard:)
Gwen, it is actually very easy. After you upload your photos. Click on the little photo to make it larger. It should open up in a different window, and once it does you can make it smaller or bigger by stretching the window. Then you just move it over into the photo essay. It does change from browser to browser though. I'm using firefox at the moment.
Priscilla, definitely layers and as you can see from Doc's post, it is a bit colder up north. Also the weather really changes fast these days, and as soon as the wind started blowing up I felt the cold. In the night time the temperature drops as well, so bring a pair of long pants for the night.
I was out in a skirt and a tank top today, and Roshane was sweating in his uniform pants on our way home.
Wow at the 80 degrees! We won't see that again until summertime. I think it was 27 degrees yesterday.
