Having Trouble Donating Your Points to Gather’s Secret Santa? Read This!

We’ve heard from several members who’ve experienced technical difficulties while trying to donate their Gather Points to the Secret Santa program. Most are seeing an “error” message appear when trying to donate on the earnings page.

We’re terribly sorry for this complication and have taken a look at the issue. We believe the situation has been resolved. If you would be so kind to try again and let us know in the comment thread below if you continue to have difficulties.

Thanks for this update, Pam! I want to tell you though that I am still receiving the error message when trying to donate while signed in through Firefox.

I did sign in through Internet Explorer instead and was able to complete the donation with no problem.

So for those of you who are receiving the error message, you could try switching browsers just to see if that might fix it.

Thanks for the feedback Faith. I'm using Firefox and I was just able to donate all the way through the process. Our developers continue to look in to this problem, so everyone's feedback is really helpful!

The problem I had occurred when I attempted to use the link in your original post. When I went to the "My Gather" page and clicked on the points total indicated there, I was ultimately successful.

GOT IT!!!

Ok...the trouble is I was using the link in the Secret Santa article...you should take out that link...it seems to work until you get to the last click.

But I got it...Thanks!

I won't make enough points to get another gift card for Christmas so I wanted to donate $5 but it won't work for me.

I was using that link too and that was my problem. When I went to my homepage it worked just fine :)
