Do any of you watch the show "17 Kids and Counting" with the Duggar family?? I watch it occasionally and while I do think they appear to be a nice family, I have to disagree with some of the things they do. For one thing, I think that having that many children is absolutely absurd. How can you possibly give each child the amount of attention they deserve and need? Which brings me to my next point: the parents do not even raise the children--the older kids are each given a child to raise. They call it the "buddy" system. It is slightly appaulling to me. I do not feel it is any child's responsibility to raise their siblings. I feel that type of thing can cause resentment and stress.
I also do not agree with the premise of why this family has gained fame. They gained fame and recognition because they have a million children. If they only had two kids, they would not even be known to the public. Because of their "fame", they get many things such as family trips, for free. I just don't agree with that.
Okay, I will end my blurb about them. What do you think of this family??
