Perfect for kids of all ages, this more action-oriented sequel delivers stellar performances and action as the children return ostensibly one year later -- but it's actually hundreds of years later in Narnian time-- and life, history and Narnia have changed drastically for the kingdom.

What's really great is that you see that the children have grown in many ways yet retain some of their child-like sense of wonder-- at least in the younger two. While Narnia is at the mercy of an evil king trying to kill Prince Caspian, the children are trying to ascertain what happened to their kingdom which in Narnian times are centuries. There are new characters and Aslan returns late in the game and he is sorely missed as a stronger leader.

The magical world of C.S. Lewis' beloved fantasy is maintained in this pretty true to the book sequel and the characters show greater depth, emotional growth and seem to be even more comfortable in their roles. This movie makes a great holiday gift and would be watched by children for a long time and it would be one that you won't get tired of seeing you.
