Since Obama has repeatedly proven himself to be a liar I seriously doubt this. Just how does he think he'll control a Congress with a very long history of pork.

That has been my biggest goal. Watching good legislation being shot down for refusing to play the game, and bad crap going through because somebody caved to something else. we need to help by staying on our congressional reps to make sure they are not ADDING to that problem, but helping to clean it up!!

I've suggested that with so many Americans out of work or underemployed, all our elected officials from the top on down don't take any pay increases and perhaps voluntarily take a cut for a while. So many of them come from money and can afford a pay cut for awhile. We're all in this together, correct? Then we all should be tightening our belts!

We ned to get rid of the pork and shift the available funds into something that gives a return to the tax payer. I wish Obma much success in this goal, we need it now more than ever.

I'll believe the pork is over when I see it. Pork is a way of life in Congress and Obama will only make enemies and lose influence if he tries to stop it. "Hell hath no fury like a Congressman whose pork is denied." Pork is his reelection guarantee.
