Yes...  I have had a blonde moment.

I had no clue why I was getting 347 emails every day in my personal email account!  They were always all from Gather!  Don't get me wrong, I love Gather...  But, all of those alert emails were driving me NUTS!  I had to sift through them all to find the real things emailed to me!  LOL.

So, I just now figured out that you can turn off email alerts.

Yeah.

I'm a ditz.

I have all of my publication notifications turned on for articles, photos and videos. This way, I can find everything my connections have posted. I'm not about to waste time hunting and searching for them and this makes it much easier. I usually get between 700 and 1,000 Gather E-mails a day with almost 925 connections...and that's after I deleted lots of people from have over 1,400 in my network just a month ago.

I have over 5000 gather emails to get through in my box. I do the best I can to read and comment on peoples posts, but there is no way I can catch up. After a month of lingering, I delete them.

It took me a while to figure this out too, Jessica and i am a brunette, lol. Well more gray now, hahaha.

Yes, you can turn them off.
But I still recive mine. That is how I return comments to friends. I also can sift through and decide if I want to view it or not. It is alot easier than searching through the feeds.

I've always had them turned off. I can't imagine getting notificiations for 500 connections.

I have certain indviduals set for email alerts but otherwise I don't have them sent to me.

Stuff like that happens to me all the time! Thank goodness I caught on early with Gather because their stuff adds up fast!
