Everyone knows that driving while talking on a cell phone is dangerous.  And I would think that most people would know that eating cereal while driving would also be dangerous, but a 21 year old woman in Ontario did not know that.  Police say the 21-year-old woman was trying to eat cereal with a bowl and spoon while driving in icy conditions on Highway 7 in Wellington County when she lost control and crashed into guide posts.

What is the oddest thing you have ever seen someone try to do while driving?

Wow, I can't believe some people are that stupid.

I think I might have seen someone drinking a beer while driving, but I don't know, it might have been soda.

Just the cell phone thing. Did you see Grey's Anatomy this past week? 2 teenage sisters, the older one was driving and texting and they crashed, she died.

It's not really odd, but I've seen people putting on makeup and texting. Eating cereal is just weird!

Eating cereal is very weird...I've seen people eating french fries or trying to eat a burger, but cereal? That must have been GREAT TASTING CEREAL!

I drive alot and I see people eating, testing, dialing, doing their hair and their make-up, reading, turning to talk to people in the backseat, and looking at a map.
I eat cereal in the car. Dry cereal with my fingers.

Those that drive with a paperbag over a can or bottle and think they won't get caught ! I wrote an article on this my

Thanks for this discussion, Kelly! What a great way to frame the question. I guess I'm pretty boring - the oddest thing I've seen a person try to do is read a book by propping it open using their steering wheel. This is an issue that never quite goes away, though, and I've just posted an article related to some news items regarding distracted driving.
