Before the snow fell again the sun shone on dry ground and it was a good day to dress warmly and go for a walk.

Here's a little color among the dead branches. This little dogwood is hanging on.

It's easy to spot the hedgeapples. Don't eat them. Put them in your basement to repel spiders.

There is still a little green here and there.
Watch out for the Honey Locust trees. Those barbs are really sharp!
I love the Sasafras trees and can smell them before I see them. No leaves for tea now but the bark can be used for making orange dye.
I'll head into the woods and see what's happening down at the creek.
Not much water in the creek right now.
The sun didn't last long. Time to head home.

I remember those headgeapples they bleed white goo, and the tree/bush has huge thornes
The tall, barren trees in the woods remind me of those in Alaska, though.
